Lin is responsible for technical support for medical equipment; Lin is also a certified laser technician. Starting in 1997, Lin was employed at Acoustic Imaging, designing, testing, prototyping Ultrasonic medical instruments and equipment. In 2003 Lin started working at the Guided Therapy & Ardent Sound Research Institute, where she was the chief mechanical engineer, designing and prototyping Ultrasound Therapy for Johnson & Johnson. In addition, Lin designed ultrasound medical equipment for various universities. Additionally, while at Ardent Sound, Lin was the lead mechanical designer of the Ultherapy for Ulthera (later bought by Merz Pharma), this included mechanical design for the Control Unit, the Handpiece, and the Image/Treat transducers.
